A Break for Blessings: 30 minutes for Learning & Recharging
A Break for Blessings: 30 minutes for Learning & Recharging led by Rabbi Lauren and special guest teachers
Judaism offers us a technology for slowing down, regulating our nervous system, and finding gratitude and wonder even when it’s hard: blessing and prayer. In these challenging times, we invite you to lean into a practice that can sustain, hold, and uplift us up with 30 minutes per week of blessing and prayer. Each session will feature a blessing or prayer from Jewish tradition, some opportunities for response and discussion and/or quiet time for reflection and integration. We will end each session with Mourner’s Kaddish for anyone in the community who is in active mourning or observing a Yartzeit (anniversary of a death).
This class is everybody friendly- whether you have a lot of knowledge or are new to Jewish prayer or blessing, whether you have a formulated view of the Divine or have not yet explored your own beliefs or are agnostic or an atheist. While the prayers will be in traditional formulas, multiple ways in will be provided.
Come for one session or all!
