Mozart and the Jews, presented by Nancy Ludmerer.

This Tish will explore the impact of Jews and Jewish ideas on Mozart’s life, his music, and his legacy. We’ll also touch on the Nazis’ supreme efforts to erase Mozart’s Jewish connections; and finally, look at the reasons why many Jews and Israelis feel a special connection to Mozart.

The Tish will include brief recorded excerpts from some of Mozart’s compositions by way of illustration.
