Richard Katz will discuss the current Shadows exhibit of 10 of his sculptures in the SAJ Social Hall.

Richard will provide a brief history of the changes in sculpting during the 20th and 21 centuries from the three-dimensional representations of natural objects such as people, animals, or mythological creatures to forms that recognize negative space as an art form.

He will show how his sculptures have evolved over the past dozen years from more traditional abstract forms into working with negative spaces.
