SAJ brings the whole family together for joyful celebration.
We offer 3 family options for High Holidays:
1.) Ages 0-7 + Grownups (NO COST)
2.) Ages 8-13 + Grownups
3.) Teen Program (Grades 9-12)

Through song, puppetry, story, and dance, we engage our tradition and our values.
- Rosh Hashanah Day 1, Saturday, September 12
- 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Babies to 2nd Grade + Grownups (NO COST!)
- 10:45 AM – 12:00 PM: 3rd Grade and Up + Grownups
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Teen Program (Grades 9-12)
- Kol Nidre, Sunday, September 20
- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Walk and Reflection around the Central Park Reservoir. Meet Rabbi Adam at the Southwest Entrance by 6:00PM. All ages welcome.
- Yom Kippur, Monday, September 21
- 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Babies to 2nd Grade & Grownups (NO COST!)
- 10:45 AM – 12:00 PM: 3rd Grade and Up + Grownups
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Teen Program (Grades 9-12)

ADDITIONAL CHILDCARE

- 10:45 AM – 1:30 PM: Childcare and Programming for 4-year-olds to 8th Graders (Youth Group and Childcare)
- 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Parents invited to drop off children in childcare/programming and join the Main Sanctuary for Rabbi’s Sermon and Lifecycles and Milestones Ritual
- Yom Kippur Monday, September 21
- 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM: Childcare and Programming open for 4-year-olds to 8th Grade and Grownups.
- 6:15 PM – 7:30 PM: Childcare and Programming for 4-year-olds to 8th Grade and Grownups.
OTHER FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENTS
- Rosh Hashanah Day 2 Sunday, September 13
- 2:15 PM – 3:30 PM: Bring Your Own Picnic at Riverside Park, adjacent to River Run Playground, Riverside Park and 83rd Street (all are welcome to join whether you have attended services or not!)
- 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Community Tashlich in Riverside Park (at Boat Basin enter on Riverside Drive & West 84th Street). In the case of rain, we will just hold Tashlich.
- Yom Kippur Monday, September 21
- 6:45 PM: Havdallah with Shofar sounding before break-fast.
