SAJ Family Services bring the whole family together for joyful celebration. Through song, puppetry, story, and dance, we celebrate Shabbat and holidays, our tradition, and our values.

Makom, our religious school, is integrated into our Saturday morning community. During Makom, we offer tefilah (prayer) services for children in grades 4 to 8 and music for children in grades K to 3. We also host class Shabbat dinners with our clergy throughout the year. You can find out more about Makom here.

SAJ engages families for a number of Jewish holidays, including on the following dates for 2026-2027:

• Rosh Hashana Saturday, September 12 (2 Services – Babies to 2nd Grade Service & 3rd Grade and Up)
• Kol Nidre  Sunday, September 20 (Reflective Walk around the Reservoir for Families)
• Yom Kippur Monday, September 21 (2 Services – Babies to 2nd Grade Service & 3rd Grade and Up)
• Sukkot Family Program Saturday, September 26 (All Ages)
• Community Simchat Torah Celebration: Friday, October 2 (All Ages)
• Hanukkah Party: Saturday, December 5 (All Ages)
• Purim Carnival and Spiel: Monday, March 22 (All Ages)
