It’s hesed (loving kindness) time! SAJ is partnering with Gale Brewer’s office and the MMJCCM in the collection of children’s books for Free Children’s Book Fair for our immigrant and economically insecure neighbors. What a mitzvah it is to share our books with our beloved neighbors! Please donate new and gently used children’s books (ages 0–13). We are collecting picture books, early readers, and chapter books in English, French, Spanish and Russian and will sort them at a special event on January 17th! The Free Children’s Book Fair will take place Sunday, January 25th at 1:00 PM at the MMJJCCM. Every participating child will have the opportunity to browse and take home gently used books at no cost.
