Every year, the Jewish calendar takes us on a journey from freedom (Passover) to the revelation of Torah (Shavuot). This seven-week period, called the Omer, is an opportunity to reflect on the Torah – teachings – we can learn from our own lives. Each week of the Omer is associated with a different quality, such as chesed (lovingkindness) and gevurah (strength). This weekly class will be an opportunity to reflect on how these qualities show up in our lives. Each class will include a teaching on that week’s theme, a creative reflection activity, and discussion. Whether you have never counted the Omer before, you do it every year, or you’ve tried before and it didn’t stick – you are invited to learn together. You can come every week, or drop in once or twice!
