Democracy at Stake: A Conversation on White Supremacy and Extremism

October 5, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

with Amy Spitalnick, Executive Director of Integrity First for America.

Multiracial democracy in the United States hangs precariously in the balance.

Fueled by antisemitism, racism, and white supremacy, neo-Nazis attacked Charlottesville in August 2017, previewing the extremism that has become increasingly normalized in our politics and society – from authoritarian policies, to attacks on marginalized communities, to rising political violence.

Join Amy Spitalnick, Executive Director of Integrity First for America, a civil rights nonprofit organization dedicated to holding those accountable who threaten long standing principles of our democracy, as she uncovers and connect the dots between the assault on our democracy and our rights, how we can fight back, and what it means to do so as both Americans and Jews. Under Amy’s leadership, IFA has become a powerful national voice in the fight against extremism. IFA successfully sued the Charlottesville neo-Nazis and the case has emerged as a model for accountability. In November, Amy will become CEO of Bend the Arc. She is also a Senior Advisor on Extremism at Human Rights First.

Registration reguired.  Watch here for link coming soon.
