Kaplanian Education Innovation: 40 Years of Jewish Learning & Teaching at SAJ

Join us on May 1st 2022 at 4:00 pm on Zoom for a lively discussion panel exploring several eras of pioneering after school education at SAJ. Past and present education directors will address the past, present, and future of innovative pre-college after school Jewish education at SAJ in light of the distinctiveness of our Reconstructionist approach to Judaism. Rabbi Jeffrey Schein of the Mordecai M. Kaplan Center for Jewish Peoplehood and SAJ Rabbi Lauren Grabelle Herrmann will moderate the discussion after Rabbi Schein presents a framing vision for the goals of Reconstructionist education.
All are welcome to stay in the zoom room for a post-program discussion from 5:30 – 6 PM ET.
