Community Resilience and Hope: SAJ Community Hanukkah Party
Join SAJers of all ages and generations to celebrate Hanukkah (a few days early!) and find strength and joy in our tradition and in our SAJ community. We will gather at 6:15 PM to sing a few songs and hear searing arguments in one of the most important debates in Jewish history: Latke or Hamentashen!
Then, the children and their grownups will start dinner first. After, children of all ages are invited to go upstairs for fun activities to choose from while adults of all ages will eat and shmooze. We will get even more into the holiday spirit with a performance by Brooklyn-based Klezmer band Shpilkes! We will wrap our evening with dessert for kids and grownups.
This is a program for all ages, from our youngest to our oldest! Let’s face the darkness together and find resilience, hope, and joy to help get us through the unknown days ahead.
Please bring a vegetarian potluck dish (main dish preferred) to share for dinner. SAJ will provide pizza for kids, latkes, drinks, and desserts.
