Five Years of Maimonides: Ideas on Connecting the Old and New.
For the past four years, Dan Woods has done a Tish or Dvar Torah on the chapter on repentance in the Mishneh Torah on Shabbat Tshuva. In each presentation, Dan has tried to understand the lessons of the text and find a way to put them to work in his Jewish practice. This Tish will explain his general approach, what he has learned from studying Maimonides, and what has worked and what hasn’t with respect to practical applications.
Multi-access Tishes are held at 9:00 a.m. ET on Shabbat in the SAJ Social Hall in person and also can be attended using the Zoom room listed below.
SAJ members often arrive 10 minutes early at the Social Hall and on Zoom to enjoy fellowship.
