A Walk Through the New York Law of Pre-Trial Detention, presented by Abe Clott

Bail and pre-trial detention is much in the news lately, many discuss and opine, but most may be shaky on the details.  Abe will set out the statutory rules governing pre-trial detention in New York and explain the differences between present and past NY law and between NY law and federal law (typical of the law in many other states).  The only goal will be to enhance understanding; Abe won’t express any opinions or discuss policy.

For the Fall Season we expect that most attendees will attend the Tish on Zoom. The presenters will either be on Zoom or be in-person at the SAJ if they are able to make it to the Social Hall. People who will be attending services are welcome to attend the Tish in-person but we will be limiting in-person attendance to 15 people until further notice
