A Messinger-ianic Vision for Migrant Policy in NYC, presented by Ruth Messinger.
On May 22, 2023, the New York Times published a letter from Ruth Messinger that presented a critique of the failure of the Adams administration to address the migrant crisis and the actions that Mayor has taken that have made the situation worse. In this Tish, Ruth will present her ideas for a policy that would actually help migrants and allow NYC to live up to our grand tradition of being a gateway to dignity and freedom for those seeking to escape oppression. Ruth will also suggest ways SAJ members can become active in raising awareness of these policies with elected officials and other members of government.
