Tish Preview for 2023-24 presented by Members of the TishCon Committee

Tish Preview for 2023-24: Members of the TishCon Committee will discuss some new ideas being implemented this year, provide a preview of the Tish calendar, and brainstorm about Tish themes and topics.

This Tish will kick off the Tish Season at SAJ.

This preview will do the following:

• Introduce the Tish program to new members and Bnai Mitzvah families.
• Explain some of the new programming for the Tish such as series of Tishes and Tish Gadolim, Tishes for special events.
• Preview the Tish calendar for the High Holidays.
• Brainstorm about Tish topics and recruiting new people to present Tishes
• Show how you can find if a date is open for scheduling a Tish. (Hint: Go to https://saj.nyc/tish and look at the calendar).
• Review progress on some issues discussed last year such as making Tish video available and ensuring the Tish is accessible to all.
• Tish art: The illustration for this Tish is a drawing of men. Most images that come up when searching for images about Tishes are Hasidic communities or all men. Can we as a community create some illlustrations showing everyone participating in Jewish rituals and practices like the Tish?

Multi-access Tishes are held at 9:00 a.m. ET on Shabbat in the SAJ Social Hall in person and also can be attended using the Zoom room listed below.
