“What is Mental Health and Resiliency?”, a Tish presented by the Mental Health and Resiliency Task Force.
The Mental Health and Resiliency Task Force is a group of mental health professionals at SAJ. Our goal is to provide resources to promote mental health in the SAJ community. We came together this year in support of Rabbi Lauren’s efforts to destigmatize mental illness. In the first half of this Tish, we will introduce ourselves and discuss some of our plans for the coming year. Our current plans for the year include organizing community events and talks to promote mental health, facilitating discussions about the role of Jewish ritual and community in increasing resiliency, and helping to answer questions about how to access mental healthcare. In the second half of Tish, we will open it up for discussion to hear ideas from the broader community about how we can be most helpful. We hope to see you there.
